Steering Gear
Calibration & Test System - Hydraulic Steering
Gear data acquisition of Torque and angle as a function
of pressure. Valve is mechanically centered, based on
data collection. Final test data is stored graphically
to supply to customer, and archived by manufacturer.This
is that course. DTI's Basic Uncertainty course describes
the basic concepts and philosophies of measurement uncertainty
and discusses its practical application. This includes
refreshing basic math skills, identifying uncertainty
contributors and building an uncertainty budget. Practical
exercises include dimensional, mechanical and electrical
examples but can be configured to your specific requirements.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own uncertainty
problems to solve in class.

Missile
Engine Test Stand - Real-Time DAQ with
over 100 SCXI channels. Network data saving and
remote and monitoring features. Post test analysis
gauge R&R features.
Pneumatic
Valve Testing - Open and close valves
and acquire test data. Pass/Fail Test Reports
displays results for the various functions tested.
Dynamometer
Testing - Graphical display featuring
up to ten channels. One channel can be chosen
as the X-Axis, and channels may be added or deleted
at will, for test re-configurability.

Automotive
Seat Stress and Failure Test - Control hydraulic
cylinders to apply minimum specific pressure levels.
Ramp levels up at specific rate. Maintain pressure level
or ramp rate in the presence of “plastic” deformation
through PID control loop. Real time pressure graphical
display with data saved to database.
Electronic
Module Radiated Immunity Testing - Subjected
an electronic module to a sequence of frequencies to
ensure correct operation. Create Report on module test
performance data.
Transmission
Test Stand - Control part movement, test stand
locks, monitor safety features, oil flow and routing,
and valve control. Monitor pressure and timing. Save
data to database, and provide data graphing options
and report print out.
Process Heat
Treat DAQ and Control - LabVIEW program to
handle data acquisition (DAQ) of multiple Heat Treating
furnaces running for several weeks. Sensor information
is collected through Fieldpoint modules, and passed
to a central computer over an RS-232 serial connection.
The operator defines test DAQ rates, furnaces to be
monitored, program acquires data from all channels defined
on each active furnace station according to the setup.
